Projects
Learn about the waste diversion projects we've led since 2022, driving meaningful environmental change through design centered solutions.
Reuse at Food Establishments
Partnering with the City and County of Denver, Diversion Designers launched the first reusable service ware pilot program at retail food establishments in the city. Over one year, we recruited 35 businesses, provided expert technical assistance for transitioning to reusable service ware, and offered $600 in initial investments for durable items.
Zero-Waste Events
We redefine celebrations by embedding sustainability into every detail. Through strategic planning, efficient execution, and community engagement, we create unforgettable experiences while minimizing environmental impact. We’ve diverted over 80% of event waste through recycling, composting, and reusable systems, in more than 35 events for thousands of attendees.
Waste Composition Studies & Audits
Our team conducts in-depth waste composition studies and audits to support sustainability initiatives and refine waste management strategies. Through meticulous fieldwork, we sort and analyze waste samples, providing data-driven insights that inform impactful decisions. Thousands of pounds of waste have been sorted into detailed material categories for accurate reporting. Year-round audits capture comprehensive waste profiles and deliver actionable data to help municipalities and organizations secure funding, set waste reduction goals, and enhance resource recovery programs.
